Virtual Self is a neo-trance alias created by American producer Porter Robinson in 2017. Inspired by early 2000s rhythm games and "cyber-nostalgia," the project explores a darker, glitchier aesthetic through two fictional personas, Pathselector and Technic-Angel. It’s a high-energy departure from his usual indie-electronic sound, focusing on hard-hitting techno and Utopian Virtual vibes.
